I loved our time together. But something about going an entire year without having a reason to get ready- it does something to a person.
Just call me Yoda
You know how the parents of multiple kids always seem super chill and like they have it all together? Maybe one day, after I have lots of experience, I will be this wise old Yoda type of leader. 😅
Planting Tree Climbers
I just LOVE a good idea. It really doesn’t take much to light my fire. All it takes is one little spark..... and I’ve broken it down into 10 mini-goals, imagined what it will look like, and felt the joy that it will bring to everyone- all within .5 seconds.
FOH 2014
We announced on a Saturday that we would be open the next day from 12-4 and invited everyone to come check us out. The next day, we pulled up and there was a line waiting outside that was wrapped around the building!! Mind you, I have this trial and error thing happening, and the thought never crossed my mind to only let a few of them in at a time.
New development
I remember thinking ‘there is no way. there is literally no way.’ the entire time I was waiting.
The timer went off and sure enough....pregnant.
Taking the plunge
You would think that the scary part would have been quitting my full time job, but no. Or when my card declined for a $2 cookie from McAlisters, again no.
The Tiniest Boutique
Treasure Tree existed in our dining room for 3 long months. After that, The 400 square foot office space that we rented “just to get it out of the house” turned out to be the next defining step in our journey. What was intended for storage quickly turned into the tiniest boutique I have ever seen.
Trial + Error
Tunics and leggings were HOT in 2014. 😅 And I specifically remember a mint and black striped ruffle dress that I must have been out of my mind to order (remember I’m ordering in the middle of the night) because the thought of it still makes me cringe to this day.
Motherhood
Motherhood changes you. You go from being this blissfully care free person, to bringing a baby blanket to work with you just so you can smell it.
Vision
There is a certain magic to looking great and feeling your best. It sets the tone for your day, gives you confidence to conquer anything, and is one of the best things you can do for self care.
